Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities
- Complete patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with department guidelines
- Develop an individualized plan of care based on evaluation findings and parent/family goals
- Develop measurable long-term and short-term goals
- Participate in ongoing communication and collaboration with other members of the patient’s interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
- Provide COTA supervision
- Complete updated Plan of Cares as required by insurance
- Ensure patient authorization prior to providing therapy treatment
- Assess patient and family needs regarding their level of understanding, readiness to learn, ability to assimilate information, and the most desirable method of teaching
- Develop and instruct the patient and family for appropriate home treatment programs
- Complete documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance to department guidelines
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school required
- OT certification and licensure required
- Pediatric and/or clinical experience preferred but will make consideration for the right candidate
