Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with department guidelines
  • Develop an individualized plan of care based on evaluation findings and parent/family goals
  • Develop measurable long-term and short-term goals
  • Participate in ongoing communication and collaboration with other members of the patient’s interdisciplinary care team
  • Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
  • Provide COTA supervision
  • Complete updated Plan of Cares as required by insurance
  • Ensure patient authorization prior to providing therapy treatment
  • Assess patient and family needs regarding their level of understanding, readiness to learn, ability to assimilate information, and the most desirable method of teaching
  • Develop and instruct the patient and family for appropriate home treatment programs
  • Complete documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance to department guidelines

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school required
  • OT certification and licensure required
  • Pediatric and/or clinical experience preferred but will make consideration for the right candidate
